About Me

Professional Life

With each job I have had, there was an opportunity to find something I love about libraries. The different fields of librarianship are so interesting and unique that I find it hard to imagine myself focusing in only one area. I would love a public library position where I could be involved as much as possible in outreach, programming, design, collection development, and readers’ advisory. Above all, I want to share with patrons the positive experiences I have had in libraries. Today’s libraries are welcoming, knowledgeable, innovative, and full of energy. I try to embody each of these qualities every day.

Personal Life

In my free time (ha!) I enjoy cooking, baking, gaming, and of course reading. I am a fan of science fiction, graphic novels, and YA/children’s books. Top favorites include Ready Player One by Ernest Cline, the Owly series by Andy Runton, and Sheep and Goat by Marleen Westera. Usually, I’m reading the newest YA novel on my break. I am in need of a practice buddy for my French, Italian, and Japanese! I hope that one day my knitting prowess will graduate to something more complex than scarves and that I will find the perfect frosting recipe.
